Split Tests are a powerful tool to allow a vendor (seller) to compare how effective two or more sales pages are at converting visitors to buyers.
As an example, if you have two different sales pages, a split test can show that a visitor to page A buys the product 50% of the time while a visitor to page B buys 25% of the time.
With that information a vendor can quickly determine that page A is more effective and begin sending all of their visitors to page A.
